Elegant, approachable, and quietly complex—CAO Gold is the cigar that helped put CAO on the map. Introduced in 1996, this mellow-to-medium-bodied blend is beloved for its smooth character and subtle sophistication, making it a favorite among both new smokers and seasoned aficionados.
Handcrafted in Nicaragua, CAO Gold features a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan long-fillers. The result is a creamy, well-balanced smoke with notes of sweet herbs, toasted nuts, cocoa, and earth, accented by hints of pepper, almond, and orange peel. The finish is smooth and slightly sweet, with just enough spice to keep things interesting.
