Kasama Small Batch Rum is a bright, tropical-spirit that marries vintage Philippine sugar-cane freshness with lightly matured oak character — a lively, approachable rum that works beautifully for sipping as well as mixing.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Kasama is crafted in the Philippines from “noble” sugar-cane juice that is locally pressed, then distilled in small batches and matured for seven years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. The brand positions itself with an ethos of togetherness (Kasama means “together” in Filipino) and island optimism, embedding its flavor profile with sunshine, sea-salt air and tropical fruits.
After maturation the rum is bottled at 40% ABV, un- or lightly-chill-filtered to retain character, offering an accessible yet authentic rum experience.
Critics Reviews
While not heavily scored by the major spirits critics, multiple rum-review platforms have praised Kasama Small Batch for its refreshing character and value. One review notes pineapple and vanilla as dominant notes, describing it as “good for a summer day… light, flavorful and easy to drink.”
Tasting Profile
Nose: Bright aromas of pineapple chunks, ripe banana, vanilla bean, a gentle hint of sea breeze salinity, and light oak spice.
Palate: Smooth entry with luscious pineapple and tropical fruit sweetness, followed by a layer of creamy vanilla, subtle toasted oak and a pinch of salt-minerality that lifts the finish.
Finish: Moderately long, clean yet tropical in tone — the fruit fades into warm oak, a faint caramel undertone and sea-salt dryness that invites another sip.
