Brew a clean, crisp German-style ale at home with the Kölsch Beer Making Kit. This all-in-one 1-gallon kit includes both brewing equipment and pre-measured ingredients, giving new brewers a complete setup to learn the process from start to finish. The recipe produces a traditional Kölsch — a hybrid ale fermented warm and conditioned cold — resulting in a beer with lager-like smoothness, light floral hop character, and a balanced malt profile.
Inside the kit, you’ll find a fermentation jug, thermometer, racking equipment, sanitizer, and all ingredients needed for a full batch, including malt extract, hops, yeast, and clarifiers. Saaz and Perle hops contribute gentle floral spice and subtle bitterness, while the pale malt base provides clean grain sweetness and a soft biscuit-like flavor. The brewing steps are designed to be approachable for beginners while still offering reliable, repeatable results for experienced small-batch brewers.
Fermentation typically takes about two weeks, followed by a short conditioning period for clarity and smoothness. The finished beer is bright, refreshing, and easy to drink — ideal for warm weather or for anyone who enjoys German ales with delicate hop aroma and crisp balance. Once complete, the included equipment can be reused for any 1-gallon recipe refill, making this kit a long-term option for consistent homebrewing.
This setup is well-suited for kitchens, apartments, and small brewing spaces, offering an accessible way to produce classic Kölsch-style beer without large equipment or complex steps. Whether you're exploring homebrewing for the first time or building a compact brewing system, this kit delivers a straightforward brewing experience with dependable results.
