Nikka Miyagikyo Peated Discovery Series — a distinctive Discovery Series expression using peated malt at Miyagikyo distillery. Miyagikyo normally uses unpeated malt (Yoichi is Nikka's peated distillery) — this Peated Miyagikyo genuinely inverts the two distilleries' typical characters. Rare Japanese peated single malt from an unexpected distillery.

Frequently asked
Why is Miyagikyo peated unusual?
Miyagikyo normally uses unpeated malt to produce Nikka's elegant, fruit-forward single malt. Yoichi is Nikka's peated distillery. This expression inverts the pairing — using peated malt at gentler Miyagikyo produces a distinctive "gentle peat" character neither distillery normally shows.
Yoichi peated vs Miyagikyo peated?
Both peated but different distillery characters. Yoichi delivers robust peated single malt (Islay-adjacent). Miyagikyo peated delivers gentler, more refined peat integration. Two different Japanese peat interpretations.
